CG Generalist & Pipeline Developer with 18+ years of experience
ABOUT.
With over 18 years in the CG and post-production industry, I've worked across the full spectrum of 3D production — from lighting and shading to pipeline development and compositing. I'm passionate about building tools and workflows that make creative teams faster, more efficient, and more collaborative.
THE STORY
I started my career as a 3D artist and found my passion at the intersection of creativity and technology. From 2012 to 2015, I served as Head of CGI at Primate Postproduction GmbH in Hamburg, where I led the 3D pipeline, managed rendering and compositing workflows, and oversaw technical operations. From 2015 to 2021, I worked as a freelance CG Generalist and Pipeline Developer, taking on projects that blend artistic vision with technical problem-solving. After taking time away from the industry, I am currently returning to creative and technical work.
WHAT I DO.
Lighting / Shading / Rendering
Look development and final rendering in Maya with Arnold and Redshift. Years of experience creating photorealistic imagery for automotive, product and architectural visualization.
Compositing & Post-Production
Digital compositing and VFX in Nuke, advanced image retouching in Photoshop, and color grading in DaVinci Resolve. From beauty work to full CG integration.
Pipeline Development & Tools
Custom pipeline tools and scripts built with Python, Photoshop Extensions (CEP/UXP), and shell scripting. Server infrastructure, render farm management, and workstation setup & maintenance.
