Campaign for Nivea Silk. The Nivea bottle was modeled from reference; the label was provided and converted into PBR textures. The foam was created with a complex shader network featuring targeted subsurface scattering, displacement, sparkles and bump. The fabric was simulated with Maya nCloth, animated and shaded with a custom cloth shader. Water drops were painted as textures in Mari and displaced at render time. Shot layout was developed through feedback loops with the agency. Precomp by me; final post-production by the post team and a colleague. 3D work was shared with a colleague working under my direction and setup of the main scenes and shaders. Tools: Maya, VRay, Photoshop.
Case Study
Goal:
Visually rich product campaign for Nivea Silk featuring foam, fabric and water drop details.
Approach:
The bottle was modeled and textured from the supplied label (PBR). A complex shader network was built for the foam with subsurface scattering, displacement, sparkles and bump. The fabric was simulated with Maya nCloth and a custom cloth shader. Water drops were painted in Mari and displaced at render time. Shot layout iterated with the agency. Precomp by me; post-production by the post team. A colleague assisted with 3D work under my direction. Tools: Maya, VRay, Photoshop.
Result:
Campaign visuals delivered for Nivea Silk.
My Contribution:
Complete 3D pipeline: bottle modeling, PBR texturing, custom foam shader, nCloth simulation, Mari water drops, scene setup, shader development, shot layout, precomp. 3D rendering assistance by a colleague under my direction.
