Back To The Future

work: Asset rigging, particle rain simulation (3ds Max), Substance Painter texturing, Octane shading, kitbash city layout, post-production

position: CG Generalist

role: Freelancer

Personal project driven by passion for the DeLorean and Back to the Future films. A DeLorean asset was sourced, adjusted, prepared and rigged. Raindrops running down the car were simulated in 3ds Max using the particle system. Textured in Substance Painter. Rendered in Cinema 4D with Octane using complex shading networks and mesh lights for various parts. The city backdrop was prepared and laid out using kitbash assets with additional custom modeling. Lighting used HDR combined with key and fill lights plus light blockers. Post-production in Photoshop.
